Ben Kortman (1992) started as a photographer in 2013.
He was a student at the school for Photography in Rotterdam (NL).

Excess, simplism and sincerity all go hand in hand within his work.
Kortman’s oeuvre is filled with styled portrait photography that focus on different aspects of the subjects character.
His reportages focus on human emotion, with an aim to get as close to the subject as possible.

Esthetics and light are the focus in his non-commissioned fine art photography, made with both digital as analogue techniques. His style of photography is used for a wide selection of commercial clients like KPN Telecom, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, the Dutch Lottery and many others.
